Luciano Roncalli from youth’s poems to Dio non gioca ai dadi (1970)

Abstract

This paper examines the first phase of the work of Luciano Roncalli (1925-2004), before his major long poem linked to Dante, Pound and Einstein (which appeared in three books, 1978-2002): from the early poetry linked to Neorealism  in the Roman journals «La Strada» and «Il Canzoniere» (1946, 1951), to the two series of poetic ‘equations’ (already inspired by Einstein and Pound) published in the Ligurian journal «Proposte»: Equazioni (1969) and Dio non gioca ai dadi (1970).
