Abstract
The essay presents the critical edition of the anonymous ballata Povertà sia maledetta!, constituting an addition to the corpus of fourteenth-century texts related to the quaestio paupertatis. The critical text is accompanied by a brief introduction as well as an extensive commentary focusing on both linguistic-stylistic aspects and the content of the text.
